In certain species bamboo grows up to 1 meter a day, reaching maturity between 2 and 5 years, while teak wood needs 30 or 40 years.

The bamboo is cut into sheets in the longitudinal direction, the green bark is removed. The sheets are treated with insects and fungi. It keeps its original colour. They are assembled by glueing.
