The Jobe brand was founded by American water skier Jeff Jobe. In 1974 he started developing and selling plastic water skis in Redmond, Seattle. Over the years, the Jobe brand continued to grow and in 1988 Dutchmen Jos and Karen Broekmeulen came into contact with Jobe. They began importing water skis during this period and it soon became clear that there was a lot of demand for these products. The company at the time, 'Sport en Recreation Den Bol', experienced great growth and eventually the Jobe brand was finally replaced by Jeff Jobe in 2008.

Jobe Sports, located in Heerewaarden, the Netherlands, is a true family business. After decades, Jos and Karen are still owners who are actively involved in the organisation. They always are and always will be around the water and the desire for innovations and new products also remains unrestricted.
