The system DSC (selective digital Call) is in use for sending a sign of help with recognizable messages for crafts equipped with VHF DSC to a distance from 30 to 50 miles (this equipment is obligatory in big ships with permanent scout)

All the relevant information for the coordinators of rescue to identify the boat and your position they are included in the message that trasmite automatically from a ship to other one, up to reaching finally a center of rescue.
